Atlantic Entertainment Group

Atlantic Entertainment Group, also known as Atlantic Releasing Corporation was an independent film production and distribution company founded by Tom Coleman and Michael Rosenblatt in 1974.^[1] In January 1989, amidst financial troubles, Atlantic was sold off to Kartes Video Communications.^[1]

• Teen Wolf (1985) (and its sequel Teen Wolf Too from 1987)
• Starchaser: The Legend of Orin (1985)
• Water (1985, produced by Handmade Films)
• Pacific Northwest Ballet's Nutcracker (1986)
• Modern Girls (1986)
• The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987)
• A Tiger's Tale (1987)
• A World Apart (1988)
• Cop (1988)

The library was bought by Island Pictures, which was later absorbed into PolyGram Filmed Entertainment. For a number of years, Paramount Pictures had TV and video distribution rights to Atlantic's library. MGM now distributes the library as a result of purchasing part of PolyGram's library.

Clubhouse Pictures

The company also had a division called "Clubhouse Pictures" to release family films. Films and TV shows released under this label include:

• He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword (1985)
• The Adventures of Mark Twain (1985)
• The Adventures of the American Rabbit (1986)
• Heathcliff: The Movie (1986)
• GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords (1986)
• Teen Wolf (1986–1987) (later produced by Atlantic/Kushner-Locke)
